a number of times I felt that everyone at Orthopaedic Medical Group staff were simply indifferent to my needs, at times they were downright rude.
Kathy, his head nurse, has the same attitude towards me that a head cheerleader would have towards a science geek in high school.
She was short, failed to return my calls, didn’t want to answer questions I had about surgery. The pain level I had immediately following surgery was so severe that I felt something was wrong (I have a very high pain tolerance). IT TOOK 3 DAYS OF CONTINIOUS PHONE CALLS TO GET A HOLD OF ANYONE. WHEN I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO SPEAKTO KATHY, SHE STATED THAT DR. GONZALEZ WAS ON VACATION AND I COULD GO TO URGENT CARE OR AN EMERGENCY ROOM IF I FELT I WAS HAVING TOO MUCH PAIN.
When I asked during one of my earlier appointments what could be done to minimize the wait on future visits, her attitude was such that I should be happy the doctor would even see a layman like me.
The front staff have about the same attitude, but not nearly to the level Kathy has perfected.
